After two consecutive victories, players of Ascoli suffered 3:2 defeat away from home against Spezia. However, must be said that they were looking quite competitive and actually had a double goals lead till the 51st minute.
However, playing with a man less was too much and their defensive lineup anyway isn’t the most reliable one. They are now six points above the red zone and have a great chance to detach themselves even further.
After a run of ten matches without a victory, Venezia managed to overpower Foggia with a 1:0 result last weekend. The only goal came in the first halftime from a penalty kick converted, but it must be said that the victory itself wasn’t very deserved one.
Foggia, even though being one of the weakest sides in the league, outplayed the opponent and did deserve far more – but will need to improve that efficiency.
Ascoli will miss suspended midfielder Ninkovic (28/6) and defender Addae (25/0), while injured are forward Baretta (23/3) and midfielder Laverone (27/0). Defender Garofalo (17/0), midfielder Bentivoglio (24/2), forward Citro (17/5) are missing for the guests.
I really like the way Ascoli looks like in attack. Their defensive isn’t the most reliable one, but that shouldn’t be such a problem against poor away side as their guests are. The hosts definitely have more than 50% chances to win this one.
